Industrial Furnace and Fluidized Bed Incinerators

While Industrial Furnace has been serving the Municipal furnace market since 1955, we have been maintaining Fluidized Bed Incinerators (FBIs) for over four decades. We have built or rebuilt FBI's for all the major engineering firms/manufacturers.

Industrial Furnace helped manufacture the first experimental FBI for Nichols over 40 years ago in Albany NY. But more recently, we have worked on the following notable installations:

• In 2006, we built the largest hot wind box Fluidized Bed Incinerator for sludge remediation at a facility in Woonsocket, RI. This project required assembly of a previously purchased and unassembled Incinerator, modified for the incineration of Sludge.
• In 2008 we rehabilitated the Fluid Bed Incinerator in New Orleans, LA, which was damaged by Hurricane Katrina. This included some refractory work, as well as replacing all the equipment, plumbing, and outfitting it with a state of the art control system.

In the Spring of 2009, Industrial furnace signed an agreement to join forces with Technip/Dorr- Oliver to promote FluoSolids® Technology in the North America Municipal Incineration sector. This allows IFCO to use Technip’s experience and engineering power with Fluid Beds, and merge it with our experience and history of dealing with municipalities in a way that will be beneficial to all parties involved. Industrial Furnace will provide the sales functions for all municipal Dorr-Oliver FBI's in North America. Dorr- Oliver will provide the engineering, associated equipment, and any technical support required. Industrial Furnace's field experience will be put to use for procurement and installation of the furnace at the customer's site.

The IFCO and Technip Team make it North America’s most qualified and experienced supplier of Fluid Bed Technology. Each Plant is custom designed to meet the client’s needs and most incorporate energy recovery in the form of preheated air, steam, or electricity. The air pollution control train is designed to meet all current environmental regulations.

With a rich history of repairing Fluid Bed Incinerators, combined with the ability to work alongside an industry leader like Dorr-Oliver, there is no furnace that Industrial Furnace cannot fix.
